In one fell swoop, Digital Art Zone has picked three of my images (Mysterious, Terrible Roar and Trapped) to be displayed in their October Showcase. Check it out!
Oh, happy day! I received Curious Labs’ Poser 5 by Airborne Express today. Once I get it installed (and authenticated) I’ll commence with the experimentations and Firefly Renderer tests.
This latest work is a revisit of an earlier work done in May. A fairly simple portrait of DAZ’s Victoria 2.0 with some morphs and all that. I like this one a lot better than the original it’s based on. Now in the Character Portraits gallery.
Got a new image in the Character Portraits gallery for you to ponder. I really wanted some nice eyes in this one because of how important they would be to the overall image. So, I went to DAZ last night and found Silverlief Studios’ Eyes & Nails, a collection of high resolution eye and painted nail textures for use in Poser. I think it worked out pretty well.
My second attempt at painting hair and I think I’m getting better at it. Now in the Character Portraits gallery.
I keep seeing this set being used in the Poser galleries of Renderosity. What bugs me is the set is almost always composed so flatly that it looks like a picture than a 3d set. The greatest challenge of this medium is trying to give the illusion of depth on a two dimensional surface. Here, I make the set my subject as I experiment with the theories of composition and lighting in my latest artistic endeavor.
Today I decided to purchase the Millennium Dragon while it was still on sale at Digital Art Zone. I toyed around with the beast for about two hours and came up with this; the latest addition to my Character Portraits gallery. Enjoy.
Labor Day. And what better way to celebrate not working than by doing something fun, like making new artwork! More experiments with Ra Graphics’ Cybersuit for Victoria using Poser Pro and Photoshop. Check out the image here.
I’ve uploaded new artwork to the Character Portraits gallery. First is a delightful image of Victoria in her new Cybersuit about to take a spin in a futuristic motorcycle. I fell in love with these products when I first saw them at Renderosity and had to have them for my own work.
Next up is a revision to an old favorite, Carmelo Lopez’s Osian and Tawhak characters standing around in the desert. This time, the image has been re-rendered at a higher resolution and modified in Photoshop to give it the look I was originally shooting for, but lacked the talent to execute. I’m finally satisfied, but unlike George Lucas, I don’t think I’ll revising it any time soon.
Another of my work, La Force d’une Femme, is now featured at DAZ Production’s Showcase of The Month for June 2002. This is my second piece of artwork to be accepted into the company’s monthly gallery. Thanks to all of you for your support.
In other news, I’ve made some slight changes to the website. These changes are small and merely enhance the look and feel of the site. One of the more noticeable changes is the newly feathered header bars above every page and the addition of a header bar over this page.
Also, the archived news section has been operational since early last week. I will be adding news since this site’s inception into the archive over the weekend.
