Video

A collection of videos I’ve had something to do with (or entirely everything to do with). More can be found at my YouTube and Flickr accounts.

A Real Quick Chase Scene - August 2008
A quick camera test with Ed and Gibby in the alley of McAllen, TX. This is part of a series of cinematography and editing warm ups I’m conducting before the CineSol 36 Hour Film Race I will be participating in this month.

Setting Up - June 2008
As a photographer, I’m sometimes asked by the television station I work for (read: don’t take pictures for) to take stills at sponsored local events or create images of news anchors for print and web advertisements. This is a time-lapse recording of me setting up for the latter kind of photograph, the results of which can be seen at foxrio2.com and knvotv48.com.

Production - Summer 2006
Entry for the “Make Your Own Pilot” competition hosted by the FX Network.

Ed’s Story - Spring 2006
A stupid cartoon I made. Did the art, the voice, the animation and all that.

Johnston Family Christmas 2005
My family’s 2005 Christmas. Documentary style. I made it with the thought that it would be my father’s last Christmas with us because of his struggle with the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy that neutralized his throat cancer. This was because he smoked nearly his entire life. This was his second to the last Christmas with the family. My father passed away October 12, 2007.

Shepard Insurance: “Drive Thru” - October 2007
I’m the guy driving the SUV. Gibby on camera and editing, Doug on direction, Amanda as the Wife. My 5-in-1’s diffusion panel was used to keep Amanda’s exposure level with mine as I was in the shade of the building.

Q-94.5 PSA: “Look Both Ways” - September 2007
This is a promo for the rock station and it features Mike as the guy on the motorcycle (as well as the van driver) with Ellette as the retro geek. Mike’s idea, my setup, Gibby’s camera operation and direction, my editing and effects work. Pretty nice little spot, and it doubles as a real public service announcement, too.

Wheels On Credit: “Doctor” - August 2007
I play the doctor. Erin is the hot chick and the guy is her hubby. Doug is the director with Eduard on camera. Edited by Arthur.
